The Whitvale (“we”, “us”) is based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through thewhitvale.com, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Free demo signup: your first name, last name and email address.
- Consultation booking: the details you choose to share in our booking form, such as your name, contact details and information about your wedding.
- Emails you send us: anything you include when you write to hello@thewhitvale.com.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running.
How we use it
- To send you the demo emails you signed up for.
- To send occasional updates from The Whitvale, if you agreed to receive them when you signed up.
- To respond to your enquiries and prepare for your consultation.
- To deliver the services you book with us.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the site and our communications. They process your information only on our behalf:
- Mailchimp (Intuit) to store demo signups and send our emails.
- Tally to collect consultation bookings.
- Gmail (Google) for email correspondence.
- Netlify to host this website.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@thewhitvale.com at any time and we will remove you from our list.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@thewhitvale.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
